Craft & Factory

Inside the

01 / Disciplines

Six crafts.
One standard.

Hands guiding a hand plane along an oak board on a workbench
03WoodSolid oak, walnut and ash — selected, planed and shaped.

Each discipline works from the same drawings, to the same approved sample and the same standard of finish.

02 / Quality

Five checks
before it leaves.

Quality is checked at the bench, not only at the end — by the people who make the piece and by the people who drew it.

  1. 01Timber selection

Boards chosen for grain, colour and moisture before a cut is made.

  2. 02Joinery tolerances

Every joint dry-fitted and checked for fit before glue-up.

  3. 03Upholstery tension

Webbing and covers checked for even tension and a clean line.

  4. 04Finish inspection

Every surface inspected in raking light, by eye and by hand.

  5. 05Sign-off against the approved sample

Each piece compared with the approved sample before it is packed.

Protected for the journey, with edges and corners padded.

  2. 02Labelled by room

Every piece tagged with its room and its place on the plan.

  3. 03Coordinated to site

Delivery planned around your programme and the site.
