About / The studio

A furniture studio
with a workshop
at its heart.

We design and make furniture for hotels, restaurants, workplaces and homes — drawn, sampled and built by one team.

01 / Who we are

Designers and makers under one name.
We draw furniture for particular rooms —
and make it in our own workshop.

Making & finishing

Inside the workshop
02 / Design philosophy

The principles
we draw by.

  1. 01

    Proportion

A piece should sit right in the room before anyone sits in it — drawn at full size and adjusted by eye.

  2. 02

    Material

Timber, stone, leather and wool, chosen for how they wear and how they age, and never disguised.

  3. 03

    Restraint

Nothing the piece does not need. Detail is kept for joints, edges and the places a hand will rest.

  4. 04

    Longevity

Built for daily service, and made to be repaired, re-covered and refinished rather than replaced.

03 / Craftsmanship

The hand behind
the piece.

Solid timber, stone, metal, fabric and leather — shaped, jointed and finished by hand wherever the hand does it better.
